ISO 22000 and CE Marking
ISO 22000 is an international standard for food safety management systems. It applies to food safety throughout the entire production process, including all food-related business organizations, such as manufacturers of equipment, packaging materials, cleaning agents, additives and raw materials.
In order to reassure consumers and protect manufacturers from legal liability, many food companies strive to control their own products. Currently, the most commonly used certification for managing food manufacturing quality is ISO 22000, and the HACCP hazard analysis and critical control point system is included in the ISO 22000 standard.
The CE mark is a safety certification mark and is regarded as a pass for manufacturers to develop and enter the European market. All products with the CE mark can be sold in European member states and can enter the free market of European member states without meeting the requirements of each member state.
In the European market, products with the CE mark can circulate freely in the market. All relevant manufacturers must be responsible for their products and be responsible for products that are certified to meet regulatory requirements.
